Trial Update: Guilty Verdict for Murder of Simeon Peter
Warren Abbey(left), a Malvern crew associated was found guilty last week in the murder of Simeon Peter in 2004. Warren, only 25 wiped his face while his girlfriend wept at the guilty verdict. After 7 years, Simeon's family can finally enjoy the justice that has been served. He faces a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole of 25 years. Abbey was acquitted four years ago by a jury however the Ontrio Court of at Appeal squashed that verdict and re-ordered a new trial (I personally didn't know that can be done). Abbey assummed Peter was affiliated with a rival gang he had beef with. Peter was shot while walking his girlfriend home. Abbey has more than enough time to think about his actions.
