Jordan Manners Trial

Update: Well of course a mistrial has been called in the case of Jordan Manners so the two men will remain charged and will be back in court on April 1 to set a new trial date.

So I'm sure all of you have been keeping up to date with the Jordan Manners trial which I must say is very very sad trial which is just full of drama. The jury in the Jordan Manners trial will resume their deliberations on Friday. The jury said they could not reach a unanimous decision and currently are hung.

Police say youth gathered outside the court today, some in blue and white which police are assuming means they're Crips. A rumour of a gun being sneeked into the courtroom has now created more police presence and two girls lying about what they claimed to have known is just putting this whole trial into a frenzy.

Two 20-year-old men who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with first degree murder in Manners’ death nearly three years ago. They were minors when they were charged in the slaying and are known to the public as only “J.W.” and “C.D.” The pair could end up facing manslaughter charges if the jury feels Manners’ killing wasn’t planned or on purpose. No firearm was ever recovered from the scene and during the trial, the Crown didn’t present any evidence that physically tied the two to the scene. I predict Not Guilty for both youth.

18 Year Old Killed in Hamilton Shooting

UPDATE: Police have arrested Tyrone Chambers in Halifax on Saturday April 10 in relation to the murder of Brandon Musgrave. He has been charged with second degree murder. Police are still looking for 21 year-old Joshua Warner. Hamilton police say they have also now charged Yaasmiyn Davidson, 20, with accessory after the fact to murder.

This murder didn't take place in the GTA but is one that took place in Hamilton this past weekend and took the life of another young BLACK man. Brandon Musgrave, 18 and two other innocent bystanders were shot at a Hamilton house party and police are looking for two suspects that fired shots directly into the crowd.

It was Saturday and around 50 young people were celebrating March break at a house party when a fight broke out. Two men pulled out guns and fired into the crowd.

FIRED INTO THE CROWD!!! This angers me and shows the disregard that people have for other people's life. This death is senseless and dumb. Irresponsible people with guns that just don't give a f**k. This young boy will not be able to go back to school, while he should have been enjoying his week off school, he's now dead and for what?
