Gun Found on Bus

Whoever lost this must be pissed at himself.

Surveillance video is going to help police find out how this semi-automatic weapon ended up on a TTC bus at Kingston Rd. near Eglinton after midnight last night. A rider found the gun and what a good individual he/she is because this could of ended up in the wrong hands.

The TTC driver contacted police after the discovery of the weapon which wasn't loaded. I'm always happy to know one less gun in on the streets.

SIU Under Investigation

The family of Duane Christian who filed a $2 million lawsuit against the SIU and lost is now back in court battling with the SIU

The family would like a further investigation into the shooting of 15-year-old Duane Christian who was fatally shot by a Toronto Police Officer as he drove in a stolen van.
The family lawyer contends that the S.I.Us mock probe was incredibly horrible. Pretty much there was no real investigation into this young boy's death, it was swept under the rug. In 2006, the S.I.U cleared the police of any wrongdoing but the family continues to state that the SIU probe was filled with problems.

Another Youth Acquitted in Jane Creba Murder

As soon as I saw Jeremiah Valentine plead guilty to the shooting death of Jane Creba, I said to myself anyone else that is left to face the trial for Jane Creba will be walking free and just as I predicted another individual that was charged in the murder was let free yesterday.

G.C (cannot be identified because he was a youth at the time of the murder) was freed by a judge yesterday. "A person cannot be guilty of manslaughter merely because he was present when his companions committed murder," Justice Anne Molloy said. "A person cannot be convicted of manslaughter simply because he has previously acted badly, or even criminally." (I'm am actually quite surprised this came out of a judge's mouth).

Even though G.C. carried no gun, he was guilty of manslaughter by virtue of that common purpose, the Crown contended. This young man received a second chance at life, lets hope he doesn't mess it up. Let the lawsuits begin...

Jordan Manners Trial Underway

So years later the Jordan Manners trial is now under way.
The good looking, cute kid that attended C.W. Jeffrey's was fatally shot while in school back in May 2007 and the two teens (said to be his friends) have plead not guilty to the charges. Jury selection will start next week.

Witnesses are expected to include young students (whose identity will be protected) and teachers who witnessed the attack. This will definitely be one lengthy trial, definitely will be interesting to see the turnout.

TTC Shooter Sentenced

Remember this guy? Malcolm Chalmers. He's the one that shot the TTC bus driver down back in 2005 near Morningside and Finch after trying to run away from men that were chasing him.
He has been sentenced today and all he gets is 11 years for shooting the Jamie Pereira who is now blind.

Chalmers was originally found not guilty of attemted murder however he was found guilty of aggravated assualt. He gets time served for two year credit so he will only serve another 9 years, which in Canada means 4.5 years as every criminal gets 2 month for each month served.

Another teen shot …

Another teen has been shot and this is supposedly the third teen in 2 teen days. Last night a shooting occurred around Kingston Rd. and Eglinton where an 18 year old suffered a bullet to the stomach. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries however he is expected to pull through.

Early on Thursday a 17-year old was shot in the ankle near Flemington Rd. He made it home and was able to call police.

Vincent Wright was killed Wednesday night in the Malvern area located near Nielson and Sheppard, police have no suspects.

Homicide #2 - Vincent Wright

The second homicide of the year took place last night claiming the life of a teen in the Malvern area located in Scarborough. The victim has been identified as Vincent “Villain” Wright

Police where called to Empringham Drive after midnight where the 19 year old was found in the parking lot. He was shot in the chest and taken to Sunnybrook where he died.

A community youth worker admitted that Vincent did have a troubled life however he was working on turning his life around. Vincent had recently signed up for a fitness training program and was on a better path. He had no address and unfortunately there is no next of kin to notify. His only uncle Tristan Wright was killed in the Malvern area back in 2008.

No word yet on suspects.
The family of Kenneth Mark spoke to the media this week begging for his killer to turn himself in. (SEE VIDEO BELOW)

Police has few leads to the murder but information came out about a shooting that occurred that left Kenneth Mark almost 2 years ago. In September 2008, Kenneth was shot in the back and his head after protecting a female her child from a man that was allegedly pointing at shotgun at them. Kenneth recently went to testify against the men but the judge released the men on December 17 saying there was not enough evidence. Kenneth would be killed five days later.

Mark has been said to be a very kind gentle man that was an activist in his community. He tried to help keep guns out of the area he lived in. His brother mentioned how he brought several kids to his workplace at Walmart when he saw they had no gloves. Clearly this is a man that was a decent member of society and didn't deserve this. Contact police if you know anything .
