Jane and Finch Chant Against Police Brutality

Jane and Finch gathered in front of 31 division this evening to try and put a end to the police brutality that is going on in their community. A community worker claims there's been this rise in levels of incidences and in terms of the alleged brutality.

Some people get their face put on hot police cars, my friend just got dragged by the handcuffs," charges a protester named Wondas. They chanted quietly and the police continue to state they investigate cases of police brutality thoroughly (yeah right). Hopefully this community can get what they're looking for but personally these police won't stop because who gonna stop them? Not their superiors, Why? because they're cops too. Cops will always protect cops.

Many of these young men that are beat up by cops don't even report it, so what's the point. I know many people, including my ex-boyfriend who was beat up by cops and in the end nothing was done. We just need to start walking with our cameras.

Altercation at Cederbrae

Police released a suspect they had and arrested 21 year old Jamaal Williams in the following incident.

Cederbrae Mall which is located in Scarborough saw violence erupt amongst a group of men this evening. Two men were stabbed outside a leather store in the mall and police managed to arrest one individual. A victim believed to be in his 20s was slashed across the throat, while a second man suffered cuts to the hand. Neither wound is serious and both are expected to be O.K. They're being treated for their injuries.

Cops are on the hunt for a male who is Black, 25, and 6' 3". Pretty much majority of black men in Toronto. I just hate these dumb descriptions, they make no sense. He was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and white sneakers.

First Guilty Verdict for Jane Creba

So I kept up to date on the Jane Creba murder trial day by day as it went by and we all know your innocent until proven guilty but in the end, if any of these boys get off, it'll be a shocker. I honestly believe not one of these men will beat this case. Even if they didn't pull the trigger or if they weren't involved, anyone that may have slightly just been in the area and charged with this young girls murder will not in my opinion be found innocent.

So my thoughts of course turned out to be true as the first suspect J.S.R, 20 years of age went to trial and learned his fait last week. J.S.R. appeared surprised as he stood in the prisoner's box and heard the jury foreperson declare him "guilty" of second-degree murder.

His is the first of three trials of nine males accused in the infamous Yonge St. slaying of the 15-year-old Riverdale Collegiate student. The jury also convicted J.S.R. of five weapons charges and two counts of aggravated assault in the wounding of two of the 12 males who faced off outside the Foot Locker store on crowded Yonge St., just north of the Eaton Centre.

Young Man Dies Fleeing Police

Stanley Badu (pictured), only 15 years old plunged 14 stories to his death this past Monday. Police believe he may have been involved in a break and enter, after receiving calls from a tenant in the building.

Police were responding to a break-and-enter call at 44 Willowridge Rd., near Martin Grove Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W., around 11 p.m. when they found the body of the teen at the front entrance of the building.

This building has seen a lot of violence in the past year alone. Last year the same situation happened where a 16 year old fell 26 stories to his death after a robbery attempt.

Couple of Shootings Again

A gunman opened fire in the Don Mills and Eglinton area last night during and attempted robbery. Several bullets hit neighbouring homes and even riddled a tenants fridge with bullets. Police say they got a call to the housing complex around 1:30am Sunday. There, they found several shell casings on the ground, but no gunman.
Amazingly, no one was hurt.

While police dealt with that shooting at the top of North York, another shooting occurred in Driftwood Court which is located in the Jane/Finch area. An 18 year old was shot in his eye but will make it through. As usual, police have no suspects.

Shootout in Downtown Core

Hungry club-goers were ducking for cover as a shootout occurred at Dundas and University this past Saturday bight or shall we say Sunday morning around 4am. The shooting occurred right around Hong-Shing and Swatow’s restaurant at 4am in the morning where downtown club-goers usually go for Chinese food. A man had been shot in his leg and managed to bring himself to St. Michael’s hospital. Police say it appears two groups were shooting at each other. Police are still trying to piece together what happened and are looking for the taxi driver who took the injured man to the hospital.

Unresolved Murder: Brandon Archibald-Sterling

On Saturday October 22, Brandon Archibald-Sterling was gunned down and died later on in hospital. Brandon was approached from behind by a slow moving van where the occupant opened fire. He died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police were looking for a dark blue minivan, possible a Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth, approximately two years old, with tinted windows, which left the scene after the shooting.

To this day police has still made no arrests in the case and Brandon’s family have no closure as of yet. If you have any details on the shooting of Brandon Archibald-Sterling, please contact police.

CW Jeffrey’s in the News Again

A 17 year old has turned himself in in regards to the following incident. The teen has been charged with aggravated assault.

I feel sorry for whoever is the superintendent for this school as the
bad press this school continues to get seems like it’ll never go away.

Daniel Anderson, a student in the school suffered serious stab wounds in the school cafeteria but the 16-year-old won't tell anyone who did it. The incident occurred this past Tuesday. School officials at C.W. Jeffery's called police at 12:48 p.m. but the teen left school property in a cab and called police from his home on Sheppard Ave. W.

He was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators have located the taxi the boy travelled in and are speaking to the driver, police say. Police know that they are looking for two suspects but will have to rely on Video Footage as the victim will not say anything regarding the incident.

It’s surprising that seeing that Jordan Manners was killed in this school and seeing the allegations of sexual abuse by a girl, this school still does not have police guarding the school. Guess they’ll have to revisit this option.

Four Men Shot in West-End

Four men were shot in the West-end this past weekend as they were conversating with each other in front of a building located at 121 Humber Blvd. The building which is located in the Weston Rd. and Black Creek area had blood all over as the wounded victims were aching in pain.

Two of the victims had severe injuries and the other two had non-life-threatening injuries. All four are now in stable condition. The four victims were in a group of six outside the building when two men wearing dark clothing approached them.

This area is the same area where Shamari Belnavis was killed in an execution-style shooting three years ago.

School Shooting

Police arrested a teen on November 6 and he faces 10 charges in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of an east-end public school.

A man in his 20s was found shot at Warden Avenue Junior Public School last Tuesday. A group of men supposedly got into an argument and a shot was fired. A witness says she heard one of the suspects yell: "You better not call the cops," before fleeing. He must of been psychic to know that his victim wouldn't die from the shot he let off.

The victim remains in critical condition at St. Michael's. Police say the shooter may have fired a Desert Eagle handgun – a large, gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol made in Israel. Where are these boys getting these top of the line guns?

Thank You

I've been quite busy so that's why the posts have not been up to date so I'll try to catch up as best as I can with the news from the past week.

Thanks for all the emails I receive regarding the website. I'll continue to try my best and update as soon as possible.

Thanks once again for the support.

Case Closed: Jean Springer

It was a sad day on January 1, 2007. The first murder of 2007 was a church going woman that did nothing to deserve to lose her life the way she did. Jean opened the door to a man she knew, a man that was friend to her son and he said to her "Happy New Year" and cold-bloodly shot her in her head. Jean died right on the spot.

Altaf Ibrahim, 26, responsible for shooting and charged with the murder of Mrs. Springer was found not criminally responsible for the attack today because he's a diagnosed schizophrenic. He believed Springer's son Anton had raped and tortured his mother and went looking for revenge. Though this was far from the case, one psychiatrist testified the killing was a psychotic "tit for tat."

An agreed statement of facts acknowledges that Ibrahim had not taken his medication for several weeks before the shooting. He will not go to jail but will remain in custody until December, when another hearing will be held.

This is a very sad ending to this case.

Homicide #61 - Gary Anthony Mitchell

The victim has been identified as Gary Anthony Mitchell, 31 of Toronto.

A woman walking her dog in the Sheppard and Bathurst area came across the body of man in a Nissan Infiniti. The woman saw shell casings around the car and immediately called police. Police found the man with gunshot wounds to the chest.

Reports suggest there was a gun found on the passenger seat of the car and there is evidence the gun was discharged. A black balaclava was also found nearby.

Cops have made the investigation into what happened to the victim - apparently well-dressed upon discovery - Toronto's 61st homicide case of the year.

...And the Shootings Continue along with a Stabbing

Again the senseless cowardliness of people in Toronto continues to be apparent. There no longer is concern for people that have nothing to do with your beef, it's just shoot and whoever is in the way, hopefully you don't get hit.

Last night or better yet early Saturday morning, a young woman (I'm assuming white) was killed by a stray bullet, the news reports it as another Jane Creba. The shooter was involved in an altercation and then came back and just started shooting. This woman is now the 60th murder victim of 2006. Her killer is described as a white man. Now lets watch how the news handles this murder over the next few days as her killer is a white man. I bet it would be different if a black man did it. Overall this is sad but we will continue to see the difference in how murders are treated amongst black and white.
Another shooting occurred at Bathurst but no one died. A man was just shot 4 times in his legs. The guns reportedly came out during a fight between two groups of men and cops say at least 10 shots were fired. The victim is okay and expected to pull through.
A young man was taken to hospital with a knife still in his shoulder, police say - but he's refusing to tell officers how it got there. The 20-year-old was found around 12:40am Saturday on in Scarborough.

Live By the Gun, Die by the Gun

This past Jamaica Day, Dominic Shearer-Hanomansingh (left) was shot to death becoming Canada's 37th homicide as he passed out flyers at the celebration. Reports indicate he was shot because he didn't want to give over his chain. Jimmy Jason John of Toronto was arrested and charged with his murder.

Police have now released details that Dominic was the killer of someone 17 days before his death. Supposedly Dominic shot and killed 21 year Justin Brunet, Toronto's 29th murder victim of 2008. Police aren't releasing details on how they've come to this conclusion but they are certain Dominic is the killer of Justin.

This is very sad because here we have two families affected by death and in the end there's no closure. There is no one to speak for both these men but here we have two young men gone, and for what. It just sucks that Dominic's family now has to deal with the fact that someone they loved more than anything probably took a life and Justin's family will never know why their son, brother, or friend was killed because his supposed killer has now met his fate.

Police has now completely closed the investigation into Justin's death. Or can we say just decided to close the case without fully investigating? We'll never know.

ETF Takedown in the City

This morning around 3:30pm in the entertainment district, the police were busy as shots rang out at Richmond and Simcoe St. Luckily downtown is already flooded with cops, even cops on horses as police were able to quickly find who they were looking for.
Police found a car on Queen Street riddled with bullets, and then one cop saw a man with a gun get into another vehicle. That's when the Emergency Task Force was called in. The man jumped into a limo and police quickly surrounded the limo taking down everyone in it. There were 5 women and 2 men who were taken into custody.

Citynews posted the video online showing the takedown. Here's the link.

Daniel Boayke Homicide Update

This handsome boy was homicide victim #51, Daniel Boayke. He died of a stab wound in the Kennedy and Sheppard area on September 16, 2008. Police have an update in the case. They've released a video of the possible suspects in his murder.

The teen became involved in an argument in a parking lot. The dispute became heated and then violent, when one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed Boayke numerous times. He died later in hospital.
Police have now released video surveillance from the area showing a group of men getting out of a car at the plaza just before the fatal encounter.

Here is a link to the security footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pujuGoho8ks.

Contact police if you recognize the people or the car in the video.

Bullet Pierces Bedroom Window Of Two Young Girls

It's sad to see that we are no longer safe in our own damn home. Worse our children. Police don't who they're looking for or why this happened, all they know is that the bullet happened to go through the window of a room that belonged to two young girls.

The story began Thursday night around 10pm, when police were called to a Jamestown Crescent residential complex near Martingrove and Finch for the sounds of a gun being fired. When cops arrived, they failed to find anyone or any evidence of a discharge, concluded it could have been a car backfiring, and left the area. Luckily, neither of the two young kids were in the room at the time.

Thank God no one was hurt.

Shots Fired at Markham & Eglinton

Shots were fired in the Markham and Eglinton area a day after a murder in the same area. Police say witnesses saw two men fire at each other at about 3:30 p.m. A man in blue was seen chasing a man in black, and one of the men fled into a nearby apartment building, says Const. Tony Vella.

It appears that no one was hit, as investigators found shell casings on the ground but no blood.
The scene is just blocks from the spot where a man was found shot in the head in an alleyway on Tuesday afternoon.

Homicide #59 - Andre Moore

The victim of the shooting that occurred yesterday in the Bellamy and Eglinton area has been identified. Andre Moore, 27 years old was shot once in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

I know you're all looking at this photo and saying what the f**k? I too said the same thing. Let's hope his family can provide a photo that can a least show him in a more positive light.
Police are looking for individuals seen driving an older style blue Honda Accord.

Peel Homicide #24 - Rajiv Dharamdial

When paramedics arrived on scene, they quickly took the teen to hospital, but it was too late. Officers spoke with his friends, the last people to see Dharamdial alive. Man Shot Dead in Scarborough

This afternoon, a man said to be in his 20s was shot dead in the Bellamy and Eglinton area today. The shooting took place around 12:15 and there are reports that he was shot in the head.

Witness reports indicate the shooter was sitting in a car when the bullets rang out. A two-door blue vehicle with at least two people inside was spotted speeding away from the scene seconds after the murder.

Three schools in the area, St. Boniface Catholic, Mason Rd. Jr., and Scarborough Village Jr. School are in lockdown, but authorities stress it's purely precautionary and the students there are in no danger.

More to come on this story.

Shootings, Shootings, Shootings

This past friday a 25 year old man was shot in the back in the Dufferin and Finch area. The victim was rushed to the hospital but managed to pull through.

Cops are actively seeking what they believe is a single suspect, though there's no description available. What motivated the gunplay is also unclear.

Homicide #55 - Burrell Bennett

UPDATE: A graphic video of Burrell has been posted online to assist with finding the killers. Here's the link.
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=n0z4-fFYUFc&feature=related

The last shooting I reported on at Jane & Wilson unfortunately turned out to be deadly as it marked Toronto's 55th murder victim. Burrell Bennett, 26, was shot in the neck near Jane and Wilson Thursday.

Two other men were also injured in the attack, both hit in the legs. Police sped to the area and scoured the scene near Chalkfarm Drive in the minutes that followed, and there were reports that at least two suspects were seen fleeing after the shots rang out.

Police are looking for a man they say was "involved." He is described as
black
not very tall
last seen wearing black clothing with a hat or hoodie

Boy Shot in Leg

A 16 year old is lucky to be alive after getting shot last night. Police allege that a 16-year-old boy and several friends were in the area of Oakwood Avenue north of Vaughan Road just before midnight Saturday.

Officers say the youths ran into to trouble when they came across three other men on the sidewalk. Cops allege that one of those men pulled out a gun and shot the teen in the leg.

Violent Night in Peel Region

Peel which was once considered a safe city is now turning into a violent city as three men lost their lives last night in the peel region.

The first shooting took place at a house party where three people were shot in Malton. One person died at the scene and the two others were wounded. Police have a description of who they are looking for. A South Asian male, 5'8", in his mid 20s, wearing a black jacket with a round collar.
The second incident occurred one hour later in Mississauga where two men were stabbed. Once unfortunately died in the hospital from the stab wounds.

The last shooting took place at the Sugar Island Bar in Mississauga. The man was shot in his stomach and succumbed to his injuries. Initial reports from police indicated that three men left the scene heading west in a silver vehicle.

18 Year Old Charged in Latest Murder

Police have arrested 18 year old Nahoor Araya and charged him with second-degree murder. Araya is charged in the slaying of Boris Cikovic, 17 years old who was killed for his backpack last week Friday in the Royal York and Eglinton area. Cikovic is the 53rd homicide victim this year.

His mother Vesna alleges they demanded his backpack, but her son wouldn't give it up. Boris's parents moved from Sarajevo 15 years ago with their son to provide him with a better and safer life but the country they thought was safe proved otherwise.

Boris may have used a stun gun on his attackers for self defense. But his assailant pulled out a real gun, and shot him once in the stomach. Boris died later that night in hospital.

Another young black man in the system over foolishness. Let this be a lesson black people, this young boy's alleged murderer has been caught less than a week after the shooting and you know why, because his friends advised the police who did this to their friend. Half these murders can be solved if black people step up and get this bad guys off the streets.

Unresolved Murders - Harry Asare

He has been shot once before, taking four bullets but pulling through. God clearly wasn't ready for him to come home. The shooters failed but unfortunately it didn't end there. Two months later, his killers came back and God brought him home this time. Harry Asare was shot and killed as he left a friend's apartment which was located on the same floor that he lived with his mother.

His killers entered his friend's apartment and while they kept shooting at Harry, there were about four or to six people who fled out of the apartment while Harry suffered from five gunshot wounds. Harry in terrible pain crawled out into the hallway where his life faded away. Supposedly killed over a robbery that he was involved in.
Harry died on Friday October 15, 2004. As the anniversary of his death is near, the killers still remain on the street, the friends that know who did this have made no calls to the authorities and hope continues to fade as no one has been arrested.

Flo G who is was friend to Harry sent an email to me requesting this information be added to my this site because this person needs your help along with his family. If you know anything about the murder of Harry Asare, please contact the police.

Shooting at Jane & Wilson

The Jane strip of course is the street where all the shootings happen to occur this year and today a shooting sent 3 men to the hospital. The shooting occurred in the Jane and Wilson area between Sheridan Mall and the apartment buildings nearby.

All of the victims are believed to be male and in their 20s. One was allegedly hit in the neck while the others sustained wounds to the legs. One of the victims is said to be in serious condition, but is expected to pull through.
No arrests have been made there were reports that at least two suspects were seen fleeing after the shots rang out.

Couple of Shootings This Past Weekend

There were a couple of shootings that rocked Toronto this past weekend but thankfully no one was hurt. Both incidents happened in the Kipling and Finch area.
In the first incident a teenage girl was shot, while she was sleeping. The 17-year old is expected to be alright.

A short time later, further north on Kipling, shots rang out at a house party.
Police say a 21-year old man was shot in the leg and wrist and an 18-year old was grazed by a bullet. both are expected to recover.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Bendale Suspect Surrenders

The 16 year old wanted in the Bendale shooting a couple of weeks ago has turned himself in. The 16 year old who can no longer be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The 16 year old who was the 3rd suspect in this whole ordeal turned himself into police yesterday. The suspect now faces eight charges including robbery while armed, careless use of a firearm, aggravated assault and failure to comply with recognizance.

Omar Wellington Trial Update

One of the six youths charged with first-degree murder in the 2006 death of 17-year-old Omar Wellington(pictured) in Flemingdon Park has been committed to stand trial on the original charge. The judge also decided four young men will stand trial on the reduced second-degree murder charge.
He discharged a sixth youth who hugged fellow accused before he was let out of the prisoner's box into the arms of joyful family members.

Wellington was stripped and beaten for hours in plain view near Flemingdon Park, but no one called police before he was eventually stabbed to death. Dozens of witnesses watched as a youths stomped and stripped the teen to his boxer shorts, according to previous reports.

Three Shootings Across the City

Toronto Police are busy Thursday investigating a spree of three shootings across the city, with three people being injured. Several gunshots were fired at Jane Street and Woolner Avenue at about 4 p.m. and police have found shell casings near a bus stop.

Then, a victim was injured after gunshots were fired near Eglinton Avenue and Keele Street. The victim is reported to have suffered minor injuries. Police believe this shooting is linked to the Jane and Woolner incident. A car may have been involved with reports of a drive-by shooting.

Meanwhile, police are looking for suspects after a shooting at a Bleeker Street basketball court, near Sherbourne Street at 4:30 p.m. A shooting victim has walked into an area hospital at about 5:30 p.m. There is no word yet on the man's condition. Reports say a second victim from this shooting also walked into a hospital with injuries.

Homicide #52 - Darnell Grant

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Darnell Grant. He was living with his father in the area and his father has yet to be notified as he is currently in Jamaica.

So as we continue to lose our black brothers by the bullet, it saddens me as I continue to report at least once a week on a new victim. Police responded to a shooting in Driftwood Crt around 9:15 last night and found a victim believed to be in his 30s with no vital signs. I was informed by a family friend that the victim goes by the nickname "Stone". Police confirm he died from a gunshot wound to the torso.
The suspects got out of a white van and began shooting with no regard for who was around the area at the time. Teenagers sat chilling with their friends at their front doors and found themselves ducking for cover as the suspects reenacted a scene out of the movie.
The good part to this story is that police have arrested two people but are still looking for a third suspect following the city's latest murder. Jermaine Gager, 18, and Corey Smelie, 20, both of Toronto, are each charged with Second Degree Murder and numerous firearm-related offences.

A white van was spotted leaving the scene just after the shooting, and police found a vehicle matching that description on the side of the Highway 400 southbound lanes not long after. That discovery led to two arrests.

Were burying our brothers weekly and it's not getting any better.

Arrest Made in Murder of Paramprit Dhinsa

Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of Paramprit DHINSA (pictured) and the boy arrested is only 17 YEARS OLD. This honestly makes me a mad. What in the world is going on with these children. What in the world could be going on with these kids that they feel the need to kill, rob and even carry a weapon.

During the initial stages of this investigation, officers uncovered an unreported armed robbery that was committed by the youth suspect shortly before the murder. As a result, the suspect is also charged in connection with that robbery. Police continue to search for the second suspect in this case.

Shooting at Jane & Eglinton

Sunday night there was a shooting at Jane and Eglinton that left one man lying on the ground. Reports suggest five or six shots were fired on Jane between Eglinton and St. Clair.

The suspect is described as:
Male
Black
Dreadlocked hair

What is sad about this whole thing is these guys will continue to war with each other till they all kill one another because this victim knows who shot him and now will attempt to go and shoot this guy and the circle will continue on and on. When will it stop?

Man Shot in Scarborough

A wounded man ran to the closest help he could find after being shot in the east end Saturday night.

Reports suggest the shots were fired just after 10pm near Kennedy and Ellesmere.

The victim, who then stumbled into a gas station, was rushed to hospital, but there's no word yet on his condition.
The suspects are described as:

#1
Black,
17-18-years-old,
6', 165 lbs.,
He was wearing blue jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt with horizontal stripes
He is possibly bald or has very short, dark brown hair,
He wears an earring in his left ear

#2
Black,
17 to 18-years-old,
He was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans

Shooting at Jane & Finch

A young man was shot today in the groin in the Jane and Finch area, behind Driftwood to be exact, around the 10pm hour. The victim is in his twenties and is expected to fully recover.

No information about suspects has been released in the second case.

Shortly after, two men showed up at the Finch branch of Humber River Regional Hospital with gunshot wounds. Police say they suffered minor injuries and are not co-operating with the investigation. There were also reports of shots fired at a 21-year-old man on Jane St., just south of Black Creek Dr. around 11 p.m. Friday. Police are looking for one suspect, and add that victim is also not co-operating.

Police continue to have their hands full as they investigate yet another shooting. This time the shooting has occured in the Keele and Sheppard area. EMS personnel confirm a man was shot in the face. The victim, believed to be in his late teens, was found on the sidewalk and was conscious and breathing when paramedics transported him to the ER. But he may have suffered life threatening injuries.

Witnesses saw three young people running from the scene and put their ages as old as 17 - and as young as just 13. One is white, the other two are black. And suprisingly, the gunman is said to have blonde hair and was wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, that's a first.

Bendale Shooting Update

The real target for the shooting at the Bendale has come forward. The boy who attends Bendale stated that several boys came up to him to rob him and he got into a scuffle with the men. The 16-year-old was sitting on a bench in a park area behind the campus just before the noon hour when four teens came up to him.

"Four guys came up to us asking if we have any weed," he told CityNews in an exclusive TV interview. "And I said 'no' ... And then he showed me the gun ... And then I just tackled him to the ground." The teen decided his best defence was a risky offence and he began battling with his attacker for the firearm. His stuff went on the ground," he remembers. "And he shot off two times and then he asked his friend for help ... And then the guy came and kicked me in the back. "I was on the ground and I was scuffling with him and ... we were just rolling around and he just busted a shot and I guess one of them hit ... my schoolmate."
Police confirm they've arrested two suspects in the case - and that one of them is the young man wounded in the shooting and Mark Deicsics 18 years old.
Citynews spoke with the 16 year old victims mother who is upset and doesn't feel her son should have been charged. Why? I'm sure the young man that was robbed knows who robbed him and knows who was involved, why would he purposely tell the police that he was robbed by the boy that was shot. Parents need to realize, yeah your son is the perfect son at home but there is the slight possibility that he or she is out there robbing people, beating up people or even murdering people. As a parent myself, I too believe my child is a good kid but I got a call that other day he was involved in a fight which was shocking as he's a good kid like all of us parents say. Parents need to realize, teens are at a age right now where they usually follow the wrong crowd, I was at that stage at one point. Be angry that you're not getting answers but don't say your son wasn't involved, you can't swear for no one, even your own child.

Shooting on the Jane Strip....Once Again

The incident reportedly took place on a basketball court. Two men were shot and police state that one individual had life threatning injuries. More to come on this story.

.....And the School Shootings Begin

A 16 year old boy was shot today at school. The shooting occurred just before noon today. Bendale which is located in the Midland and Lawrence area went on lockdown for several hours as police scouted the area for suspects. Parents rushed frantically to the school worried it may be their child that was shot.

The teen was reportedly discovered near the pool inside the building bleeding from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. His injuries are life threatening and he remains in critical condition. The incident took place in a large green space behind the parking lot at the school and the victim may have staggered back inside.

Homicide #49-Dayne Rose

The victim is the bizarre highway shooting that occurred this past Tuesday has been identified as Dayne Rose, 29. Dayne was shot in what now has been identified as his car while on the highway. Police are now speculating that he may have attempted to jump out of the car to escape the gunman who shot him several times in the chest.

A man and woman have been questioned regarding the incident but were let go without being charged. The car happened to be registered to the home where they lived. The woman originally questioned was actually a close friend of Dayne's and registered the Lexus which belonged to him in her name to the home in Mississauga where she stayed for a while. (stupid move, WOMEN, do not register cars for men in your name, not even your own son)

Police still have no motive or details leading up to the murder of this man. Police cleared out a few boxes in his Eglinton apartment yesterday and are working the case to see who could have done this to him. It's disgusting to know that people like this exist in society and hopefully they find this man's killer(s) and get them off the street.

Another Shooting on Jane Strip

I think this is the 4th story I've posted about a shooting on the Jane Strip and the second time it's been in the same area. Four people were reportedly shot in the Jane and Lawrence area late Friday night - but they're not saying much else to police. The 4 victims were shot in their legs and were treated at the hospital for non threatening life injuries. ''

Jane was closed at Trethewey Dr. north to Harding as cops combed the parking lot for clues. It's been a difficult search as the wounded men aren't exactly forthcoming with information.
"They're uncooperative and so are a number of other people that were in the area."
